Earliest reviews have pinned it as average so it's not on my radar.
Would love to get Street Fighter IV, but it's such an expensive month!
The problem with a GoW MMO lies in the lack of races or, rather, the lack of variety in the characters. You really need to have opposing sides and the Locust aren't really a viable enough 'race' to have any depth in an MMO. I can't imagine them to have the infrastructure, or the materialism, of the COGs/Stranded -- both are vital to the immersion of an MMO.
If everyone were COGs, it'd lose its appeal fast.
PC gaming will continue to live on...even if its future lies in the likes of Battlefield Heroes.
I go as far as the Halo books when it comes to non-playable gaming swag...t-shirts are even too much for me.
I definitely agree with you there Joe. But there's too much to be lost from not offering a score, and if sites want to be featured on Metacritic then they have to provide a score for metac. And if they don't give a score, metac will give the score that best fits with the tone of the review.
It's a no-win situation while metacritic is still around.
Upon looking at the Edge review, they seemed to have made a balanced case (well...by that I mean as 'balanced' as Edge can make) and a 7 seems to sum it up quite well. We must remember that they also gave Halo Wars a 7. It is not a bad score, especially not from Edge.
I was glad to see this live up to the hype of critics and fans alike. Even a 7 from Edge is a great score. But I don't know what they said about the game, which I will go and check now...
What about the EVE story about the banking thief who stole 86billion ISK?
Condemned 2 went in the wrong direction for me, I just hope the same doesn't happen with Fear 2!
Because I presume it has been hard to actually get Tyson's license. They're not going to miss a chance like that.
Wow...Ali has taken over Mike in the course of 4,000 votes. =O Guess only the Tyson fans had noticed beforehand!
I always thought it was a guy who did the voice. She was obviously talented. =( R.I.P
I voted both. Why not? =p
I guess it's because it isn't an Xbox 360 exclusive. But when compared to the PS3 version, it is in a different league so it could be in there...
I dunno, I liked Dead Rising. It turned out to be too linear though. It initially looked much more like a sandbox title. Still, I had a good time killing zombies!
NFS under Criterion would be mental. =)
Resistance 2's massive multiplayer always interested me (I used to love playing 150 player battles in Joint Operations). But I do like a little bit of good old single player to go along with that and it seems it didn't deliver there. MGS4 is another draw, but I just feel there is not enough on the console to get one.
Haha, hadn't heard that one. =)
Yeah, I'm more inclined towards Battlefield Heroes -- but 1943 has the advantage of being on the consoles!
